June 1944, and twenty-four men of the 5th Parachute Brigade, 6th Airborne, under the command of Major Paul Wingham, are sent on a vital mission deep behind enemy lines. With the odds firmly stacked against them, this gallant band of men are suddenly confronted by an elite force of Panzergrenadiers. This then is the story of their battle to survive.
